Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Zeta Tau Alpha prides itself on its many contributions to its wonderful philanthropy which is breast cancer education and awareness. Countless pink ribbons, self breast examination calendar stickers, and shower cards have been passed out. October is breast cancer awareness month and is always a special time for the Zeta ladies to promote educational efforts in breast cancer detection and raise money through various fundraising initiatives. The Aiken Alumnae Chapter not only supports our National Philanthropy, but also supports causes within our local community.
Some of our events and fundraisers include:
- Raffles
- Making Strides Agains Breast Cancer Walks
- Crown Classic Golf Tournament with Kappa Pi Chapter in Aiken, SC
- Yard sale fundraiser
- Bunco Night fundraiser
- Adopting a Christmas Angel - donating clothes and toys to a child at Christmas
- Providing blankets, toys and food to the Aiken animal shelter
- Passing out pink ribbons, calendar reminder stickers, & shower cards in Aiken Community
- Letters to soldiers
